Our Group Planting Experience is a hands-on, educational activity designed to engage young learners with the natural world. During this fun, interactive session, children will have the opportunity to plant seeds, decorate plant markers, and learn about the life cycle of plants. Educators will love this experience because it aligns with important learning objectives around nature, sustainability, and the environment, while also encouraging responsibility. For children, it provides numerous benefits, from improving fine motor skills and enhancing their connection to the environment, to fostering creativity and curiosity. The experience also promotes critical thinking as children observe how plants grow and the care they need. By the end of the day, students will leave with a sense of pride in their gardening efforts and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
Approximate Itinerary for the day:
10am-10:20am Arrival/ Bathroom Break/ Welcome Activity
10:20- Split into 2 groups
-Group A) Meet our barnyard friends and learn how we use them on the farm followed by natural play area fun
- Group B) Group Planting Experience
10:50am-11:20am Lunch
11:20am Groups Switch
11:50am-12:15- FREE PLAY
12:15pm-Gather belongings/ bathroom break/ complimentary freezy
12:30pm- Departure
-Pack a lunch to picnic on the farm
-Springtime is can be very wet, please dress accordingly
-Available May-June
